In the longest conference rivalry for Albright College, the 12-2 (5-2 in Conference) Lions will travel to Lebanon Valley College (6-8, 3-4) in an important clash that could have significant outcomes for a tight playoff race in the Commonwealth standings.

All-Time Series

This is one of the oldest series that Albright has participated in, dating back to 1911-12. Albright currently holds an 11-win margin, 73-62, over Lebanon Valley.

Previous Meeting

Last season, the two teams split wins. Albright dropped the first meeting to Lebanon Valley 80-75, but won the second 72-67 with their playoff lives on the line. Both games were tightly contested with a margin of only five points.

Albright centers Derek Hall and Zach Benjamin each had big halves in the Lions' win. Hall was 4-of-5 for 12 points and four rebounds after halftime. He finished with 16 points on the afternoon. Benjamin had seven points (on 3-of-4 shooting) and five rebounds in 11 minutes of first half action.

Pedro Perez and Kyle Jordan each had 12 points total, and Dave Singleton was also in double-figures with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting. That victory was Albright's fourth straight and was a part of a late-season run to the playoffs.

Albright College Lions (12-2, 5-2 Commonwealth)

The Lions are tied for first place in the Commonwealth with Lycoming, and are receiving votes in the national polls for the first time this season.

Singleton overcame a cold night to hit the big shots as the Red and White held off Hood, 63-57 on Wednesday. The senior hit the game-tying and winning shots to finish with 10 points on the day (along with nine rebounds, four assists and three steals).

Albright's other point guard Sam Marrella had a good outing, totaling six points and seven assists. Juniors Jordan (13 points, nine rebounds, three blocks) and Perez (12 points) were in double-figures, and senior Cornell Mickens added eight points on 3-of-5 shooting (including two huge three-point plays).

Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen (6-8, 3-4 Commonwealth)

The Dutchmen hope to knock off Albright after beating first place Lycoming 90-86 on Wednesday. Despite 19 assists from Jerald Williams, the defending D-III News National Player of the Month, LVC held on to move within a game of the playoff places in the league standings.

Matt O'Brien (26 points,10 assists) and Danny Brooks (28 points, 13 rebounds) each had double-doubles for the Dutchmen. Brooks was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week earlier this season after totaling 30 points and 13 boards against No. 4 Middlebury.

MAC 100 All-Century Teams

Voting is now open for the MAC 100 All-Century winter teams, as the conference celebrates its centennial this year. Squads are being chosen for each era in conference history and an impressive list of Lion legends have been nominated.
