After stopping a two game slide with a win over Lycoming, the Albright College Lions hope to start a winning streak as they make the trip to Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania to take on the Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College.
Previous Meeting
In the beginning of January, Etown stormed into the Bollman Center and took a 73-63 win from Albright.
For the Lions,
Kyle Jordan had a double-double with 21 points (15 in the second half) and 10 rebounds.
The only other player in double figures for the Red and White was
Pedro Perez, who had 13 points in the defeat.
Regional Rankings
The second installment of the NCAA regional rankings were released, and the Albright Lions found themselves two spots lower in the Mid-Atlantic region, moving from second to fourth.
Conference foe Alvernia took over the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic region, moving from number four to number one.
Albright is also behind Catholic University and St. Mary's (Md.) in the rankings.
Albright College Lions (19-5, 12-5 Commonwealth)
The Lions clinched a spot in the Commonwealth Conference tournament and guaranteed themselves a game in the Bollman Center with a 90-87 victory over Lycoming.
Senior
Dave Singleton finally hit the triple-double milestone after falling just short numerous times throughout the season. On the night, Singleton had 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists to complete the rare feat.
Not to be lost in the hype of Singleton's triple-double, Perez had a game-high 26 points for the Lions.
Singleton is just 0.2 rebounds away from averaging a double-double on the season with 15.7 PPG and 9.8 RPG.
Elizabethtown Blue Jays (8-16, 5-12 Commonwealth)
The Blue Jays are entering the final game of their season against the Lions, coming off a 64-50 win over the Stevenson Mustangs.
Ben Cable and
Joe Schwalm are averaging double figures in points on the season for the Blue Jays. Cable has 12.7 PPG and Schwalm has dropped 10.0 PPG.
