READING, Pa. -- The Albright women's soccer team concluded play in the Albright Lions Classic on Sunday as it lost to Rowan 6-0 in the consolation match at Shirk Stadium.

Rowan, which was blanked 1-0 by York (Pa.) in its opening match of the tournament, scored three goals in the first 11:44 against Albright. Deandra Turchi had a pair of goals to lead the way for the Profs, while Melissa Kelly, Victoria Camera, Jess Durnian and Tiffany Kelly also scored goals.

Albright could only muster three shots on the afternoon against Rowan. Rebecca Sartorio, Emily Sousa and Megan O'Brien each had one shot for the Lions.

Emily Sears started in goal for the Lions and surrendered four first-half goals, and Jaymee Stepp played the final 45 minutes and gave up two goals.

Sophomores Rebecca Mallon and Megan O'Brien each were named to the Albright Lions Classic All-Tournament Team.

York captured the tournament championship with a 1-0 victory over Wooster.
