READING, Pa. --
Shawn Murphy and
Nathan Hughes each tallied goals leading the Albright men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Mt. Aloysius in non-conference play on Saturday at Shirk Stadium.
Murphy, who scored his first goal of the season in the second half, added a helper on the goal scored by Hughes.
Hughes tallied his second goal of the season at the 79:18 mark of the match on a pass from Murphy that gave the Lions a 1-0 lead.
Murphy then scored just over five minutes later off a pass from
Vitali Zaluha that increased the Albright lead to 2-0.
Austin Aldinger picked up the win for the Lions in goal as he made five saves and posted his third shutout of the season.
Albright, which improved to 4-3-1 on the season, outshot Mt. Aloysius 17-10 and had eight corner kicks compared to just two for the Mounties.
The teams combined to receive seven yellow cards of the evening.
