READING, Pa. -- Senior
Brandy Blimline tied her season high with 12 kills, but the Albright College volleyball team lost to Hood 25-16, 18-25, 25-7, 25-18 on Wednesday in a Commonwealth Conference match in the Bollman Center.
Blimline, who also had two digs and two blocks, tied her previous season high of 12 kills which she had against Rutgers-Camden in an Albright victory in August.
Fellow senior
Marisa Bartone added five kills and five digs, while
Nicole Vazquez had four kills, two service aces and 12 digs.
Jordan Gibson had three kills and 13 digs, while
Caitlin Klotzbach notched a match-high 18 digs.
For Klotzbach it marked the 12th consecutive match this season in which she has reached double figures in digs.
Hood, which won its first conference match of the season, was led by Ashley Park-Brouse who had 12 kills and recorded a .455 attack percentage. Haley Rogers had 11 kills, six digs and five blocks and Elizabeth Hawkesworth added nine kills and 17 digs.
Hood improved to 6-10 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while Albright slipped to 3-9 on the season and 1-2 in the Commonwealth.
