Gabby Frake made 10 saves, but the Albright field hockey team could not overcome a slow start and suffered a 3-0 loss to DeSales on Wednesday at Fasching Fields.
The Lions trailed DeSales 2-0 at the intermission after allowing eight shots and two goals in the first 35 minutes of play.
After posting just one shot in the first half, Albright registered eight shots and had four penalty corners in the second half.
Samantha Martin led Albright with four shots, while
Mackenzie Faight and
Lauren Swavely eacg had two shots and
Amanda Smith tallied one shot.
Alyssa Malatesta, Jesse Marshall and Alison Malatesta each scored goals for DeSales.
DeSales improved to 1-1 on the season with the victory, while Albright dropped to 0-3 on the year.
