The win by Albright was the first over Messiah since Feb. 14, 2009 when the Lions topped the Falcons 78-73 in overtime in the Bollman Center and halted a 10-game losing streak to Messiah. It also marks just the sixth time in school history that Albright has defeated Messiah.

Kadijah Bishop with 3:02 to play in regulation, but the Falcons would rally to tie the score.
A three-pointer by Dominique Seamon and a basket by Gillian Glackin knotted the score at 57-57 with 1:47 left to play.
Harris then took a pass from
Shannon Thomas and scored on a layup while getting fouled to put Albright ahead to stay at 59-57 with 1:14 left in the game.
Harris missed the ensuing free throw, but
Jessica Venturelli grabbed the offensive rebound and drew a foul. She made both free throws to extend the lead to 61-57.
Freshman
Jane Joyce added four free throws in the final 41 seconds to clinch the victory for the Lions.
Harris was 8-of-11 from the floor and also added six rebounds, two blocked shots, two steals and an assist to lead Albright.
Joyce finished with 14 points and Venturelli added 11 points for the Lions.
Glackin led Messiah with 16 points, while Sienna Wisse finished with 13 points.
Albright shot 53.3 percent from the floor in a game that featured 10 ties and eight lead changes.
Albright improved to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while Messiah dropped to 7-8 on the season and 3-3 in league play.
The Lions will next host Arcadia on Wednesday (Jan. 14) at 6 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
