READING, Pa. – The Albright field hockey program faced another top-ranked opponent this month as the Lions fell to The College of New Jersey 6-0 Thursday evening from Shirk Stadium.
TCNJ jumped out an early 3-0 lead in the first half and added three more goals in the second stanza.

Aileen Taylor made a total of 10 saves in the game (five in each half) as the Lions fall to 11-8 overall while TNCJ improves to 15-1 on the season.
Nine minutes into the game, TCNJ's Alicia Wagner tallied the first goal of the game to go up 1-0 as Taylor Barret paved the way for the goal with an assist.
TNCJ added two more goals in the in the first 35 minutes of play, the second one coming at the 31
st minute as Elizabeth Morrison scored off a feed from Wagner. A minute before the half, TCNJ tallied their third goal of the game by Lexi Smith.
The College of New Jersey had an explosive first half putting up a total of 15 shots and seven penalty corners.
The visiting team continued to play very strong in the second stanza. In the 39
th minute TNJC's Jamie Rehus scored the fourth goal of the game.
Smith added her second goal of the game at the 54:37 makr of the second period and Barrett scored the final goal of the game in the 62
nd minute.
Albright did all what they could to keep up with the fast pace of TCNJ.
Dennise Greene of Albright came onto the field as a substitution player and added the only shot of the game for the Lions.
Kelly Schlupp of TCNJ earned the win in net in 46 minutes of play and Christina Fabiano came in relief logging a total of 23 minutes in the cage.
TCNJ earned 14 penalty corners in the contest compared to Albright's two.
The Lions conclude their regular season schedule with a road tilt against Misericordia in Dallas, Pa. on Saturday (Oct. 31) for a 1 p.m. start time.
