READING, Pa. – Sophomore
Kellie Hill had seven kills and posted a .455 attack percentage, but Elizabethtown defeated Albright 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 in the Lions season opener on Tuesday at the Bollman Center.
Mackenzie Garner and Juliana Mowen each had nine kills apiece to lead the Blue Jays in their season opener. Senior setter Steph High added 31 assists, three kills and two digs.
Kristina Smith had six kills and four digs and Shannon Deck had a team-high 12 digs for the Blue Jays.
Sophomore
Maddy Greth led Albright with eight kills, while freshman
Victoria Wainwright added six kills.
Becca Davis had a match-high 15 digs, while
Claudia Guise recorded 22 assists and two digs.
Elizabethtown hit .200 for the match, but limited Albright to an .041 attack percentage. The Blue Jays also had eight service aces and four blocks.
Albright will return to action on Thursday (Sept. 3) when it visits Central Penn for a 7 p.m. match.
