DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Albright senior
Mackenzie Faight scored a career-high three goals and the Lions scored all of their goals in the first half on their way to a 5-0 non-conference victory over Delaware Valley on Tuesday at Lipinski Field.
Faight had never scored more than one goal in a game until her offensive explosion on Tuesday night. She becomes the first Albright player to record a hat trick since Alyssa Tourdot scored three goals versus DeSales in 2012.
With the win, Albright improves to 2-3 overall and Delaware Valley slips to 3-2 on the year.

Aileen Taylor posted six saves in the cage to earn her second shutout of the season. Emily Aldrige of Delaware Valley gave all five goals and stopped four shots.
In the game, Tracy Synder added her fourth goal of the year.
Amanda Smith finished the evening off with a goal and an assist while adding seven shots. Smith now has two goals and three assists through five games.
Albright's offense came out strong in the first half as Faight scored the first goal of the game eight minutes in as
Kendra Delgado earned the assist. With 21:07 showing on the clock
Jessie Leonardis blasted a shot from the middle of the arc as it beat Aldrige to give the Lions a 2-0 edge.
Several minutes after Leonardies tallied her goal, Faight added her second goal of the night as the Lions held a commanding 3-0 advantage with 18:04 remaining in the first stanza and Synder paved the way with the assist. Faight continued her outstanding offense performance as she buried her third goal of the game at the six minute mark. With that goal, it was Faight's first ever three-goal performance throughout her career wearing the red and white. Smith created the opportunity to give the Lions a sufficient edge to go up 4-0.
Albright's stellar offense would not stop as Smith scored the Lions fifth one on the turf, a turnaround shot off of a loose ball, with three minutes remaining in the first stanza.
At half, the Lions held a 10-4 shot advantage with eight of those on goal. Albright also earned 10 penalty corners to Delaware Valley's three.
In the second half, the Albright's defense stood strong only giving up six shots to the Aggies.
For the game, The Lions outshot the Aggies 17-10 and had the edge in penalty corners 15-8.
Due next, Albright returns to Shirk Stadium on Thursday (Sept. 17) for a non-conference meeting with Keystone beginning at 5 p.m.
