FREDERICK, Md. -- Sophomore outside hitter
Maddy Greth recorded a team-high nine kills, but the Albright volleyball team dropped a 25-16, 25-10, 25-14 MAC Commonwealth contest to Hood on Wednesday at BB&T Arena.
Greth had nine kills and five digs and posted a .125 attack percentage to lead the Lions. Sophomore
Kellie Hill added four kills, while
Nicole Vazquez finished the match with three kills.
Freshman
Becca Davis had 18 digs, which was one shy of tying her career high of 19 set against Alvernia earlier this season.
Sophomore setter
Claudia Guise added 11 digs and had 16 assists, while
Sarah Clark had seven digs for the Lions. Vazquez and Hill each had one block to lead Albright.
Hood, which improved to 5-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play, was led by Elena Young who had a match-high 12 kills. Courtney Hutchinson added nine kills and Kari Betson had seven kills for the Blazers.
Hood had a .237 attack percentage for the match, while Albright finished with a .000 percentage.
Albright, which dropped to 3-6 overall and 0-3 in the MAC Commonwealth, will return to action this weekend at the York Spartan Invitational.
