GLENSIDE, Pa. – Junior
Shannon Thomas scored 12 of her team-high 15 points in the second half and No. 20 Albright used a 17-4 run in the third quarter to defeat Arcadia 64-52 on Saturday in a MAC Commonwealth game in Alumni Gymnasium.

Albright trailed by seven after one quarter and were behind 31-30 at halftime before mounting a game-changing rally.

Addy Crenny, who scored a game-high 24 points, opened the third quarter with a layup to up the Knights lead to 33-30 with 9:33 to play in the quarter.

Thomas cut the lead to 34-33 with a jumper and
Kelecia Harris scored inside to put the Lions ahead to stay at 34-33 with 8:40 to play in the third.

Alysha Lofton increased the lead to 38-33 with layup, but Valerie Dimuro answered with a layup for Arcadia to trim the lead to 38-35 with 5:52 left in the quarter.

Thomas responded with a three-pointer and
Nina Mazzarelli added a three-pointer as the Lions built a 47-37 lead with 2:21 left in the third.

Crenny hit a three-pointer and a jumper to cut the Albright lead to 47-42 after three quarters of play.

Thomas opened the fourth quarter with a layup, but Olivia Roseman countered with a three-pointer to cut the Lions lead to 49-45 with 8:13 to play in the game.

Emily O'Donnell and Harris scored back-to-back baskets to up the Lions lead to 53-45 with 6:41 left in regulation.

Two free throws and a three-pointer helped Arcadia climb to within 55-50 with 5:05 to play, but
Jane Joyce hit a jumper and Thomas drilled a three-pointer to extend the lead to 60-50 with 2:59 left in the game.

Joyce and Mazzarelli closed out the game by each making two free throws.

With the victory, Albright remains in first place in the MAC Commonwealth with a 6-1 league record and a 14-2 overall record. Arcadia drops to 7-9 overall and 2-5 in conference play with the loss.

Albright also received 10 points from Mazzarelli and seven points and a career-high 14 rebounds from Lofton. O'Donnell added eight points and six rebounds off the bench.

Crenny finished the game 10-of-19 from the floor and also added 15 rebounds for the Knights. Roseman added 12 points.

Albright returns to the Bollman Center on Wednesday (Jan. 20) when it hosts Alvernia in a MAC Commonwealth game at 6 p.m.
