READING, Pa. – Julia Devine and Devon Rubin each recorded singles victories, but the Albright women's tennis team dropped its MAC Commonwealth opener to Hood by a score of 7-2 on Saturday at the Albright Tennis Courts.
 
Devine notched a victory at No. 5 singles, while Rubin won at No. 3 singles for Albright.
 
Devine defeated Meaghan Donahue 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles, and Rubin topped Aubrey Fetters 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 singles play.
 
Brooke Ronney lost in three sets at No. 1 singles as did Elizabeth Bengtsson at No. 6 singles. Ronney lost to Olivia Hosch 1-6, 6-3, 7-5, while Bengtsson dropped a 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 decision to Bianca Hoch at No. 6 singles.
