Bethlehem, Pa.- Goals from four different players and terrific goaltending from
Aileen Taylor aided Albright to a 5-0 victory over Moravian College on Wednesday evening.
Tracy Snyder led the Lions with two goals and an assist.
The Lions (6-2, 0-1) put the game out of reach early when the team exploded for four first half goals, including three in ten minutes.
Lindsey Hecker put Albright on board in the 11th minute when she tapped in a pass from
Kendra Delgado. Less than nine minutes, Albright struck again when
Kaley Donmoyer scored her first goal of the season after she poked in her own rebound. Snyder scored a pair of goals to put Albright up 4-0 right before halftime commenced. Snyder's first goal of the game came in the 26th minute when
Amanda Long passed the ball to the junior, who tapped the ball in. Goal number two for Snyder came only four minutes later when her shot deflected into the net off of a Moravian defender's stick.
The scoring didn't stop once the second half began. Four minutes into the half,
Annette Helmandollar upped the score to 5-0 when the sophomore tipped in a shot from
Tracy Snyder to record her second goal of the season.
Taylor faced four shots but made one save to hold the Greyhounds (0-8, 0-1) scoreless for her second third shutout victory of the season.
Albright controlled the pace of the game by outshooting Moravian 26-4 and holding a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, October 1, when the team travels to conference opponent, Stevenson University.
