READING, Pa – Albright got goals from senior

Marley Berger, but a goal in the final two minutes gave Eastern a 3-2 win over the Lions Friday night in Shirk Stadium. Â The loss drops Albright to 2-1 on the season, while Eastern improves to 1-3.

Albright scored the night's first goal off a penalty corner just 5:23 into the contest. Junior
Kasey Neiderer inserted the ball for the Lions, Berger collected the pass and found Delgado, who beat the Eastern goalkeeper to give Albright a 1-0 lead. Neiderer and Berger were each credited with assist on the goal, which was the second on the year for Delgado.

Eastern tied the score at one in the 19
th minutes as Haley Williams scored for the Eagles on a penalty stroke. Berger's first career goal broke the tie with just under five minutes left in the half when she made a nice move to beat two Eagle defenders and scored to give the Lions a 2-1 half time lead.

Eastern applied a lot of pressure on the Lions to start the second half, earning four penalty corners in the first three minutes of play. The Eagles scored the tying goal in the 40
th minute when Ali Balmer put home a loose ball in front of the Albright net to make the score 2-2.

The next 20 minutes saw back and forth actions, with both teams having chances to take the lead. With 10 minutes to play the Lions picked up the attack, getting four penalty corners in a five minute span, but we unable to cash in and take the lead. With 1:32 left in regulation, Balmer stole the ball for the Eagles and was able to find the back of the net to give Eastern a 3-2 lead. The Eagles held off Albright in the final moments and escaped with the 3-2 win.

Eastern out-shot Albright 16-15 in the game, while the Lions held a 10-9 advantage in penalty corners. Sophomore
Aileen Taylor made nine saves in goal for Albright, while Nicole Berger registered 11 saves for the Eagles.
