READING, Pa. – Crissy Terraces scored in the 93rd minute to give the Albright women's soccer team a 1-0 overtime victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday evening at Shirk Stadium.
Terraces' goal came on the best offensive chance that either team had on the day. She dribbled around two defenders on the right side before planting and driving a low shot past LVC goalkeeper Emma Strickler. The goal is Terraces' fifth of the season, tops on the Lions roster. It's also her fourth game-winning goal of the year.
The match was a defensive battle as the two teams combined for just 10 total shots and only three shots on goal. Lebanon Valley put a pair of shots on goal, and a great save from Albright keeper
Alexis Tunney late in the second half helped keep the game scoreless.
Katie Goldsmith had a clear opportunity about 10 yards out, but Tunney cut down the angle on the low shot to make a big save in the 88th minute.
Albright had eight corner kick opportunities including six in the second half.
Jillian Lapidus led the Lions with two shots. Rileigh Jo Evitts had two shots for Lebanon Valley, including one on goal.
Albright returns to action on Tuesday at Lycoming. The match is set for 3:30 p.m.
