READING, Pa. – Mara Trifoi and
Samantha Stichman earned singles victories for the Albright women's tennis team, but the Lions fell at Penn State Berks, 6-3, on Wednesday.
Trifoi defeated Caroline Bashore (6-0, 6-0) in No. 1 singles to earn her first victory of the season after earning MAC Player and Rookie of the Year honors last season. Stichman defeated Deismy Jimenez (8-6) in No. 5 singles.
Trifoi teamed up with
Amanda Camporeale to earn a win in No. 1 doubles against Bashore and Alyssa Miller.
The women's team is back in action on Friday when it hosts DeSales at 3:30 p.m.
