FREDERICK, Md. – The Albright men's basketball team matched its best start since the 2012-13 season with its 106-93 victory at Hood on Wednesday night. The win moves the Lions' record to 11-1 on the season, matching the mark from 2012-13.
Five Lions scored in double figures as Albright reached triple digits for the second time this season. Albright opened the season with 107 points in a win at Penn State Berks.
DeJuan Smith led the way with 28 points for the Lions.

Jared Rappoport (12 points) and Samuel Majekodunmi (10 points) all reached double-digit points.
Albright shot 56.1 percent for the game while shooting 62.1 percent from the floor in the second half. That percentage, along with making 22-of-25 free throws in the second half, allowed the Lions to score 59 points in the period.
Albright took its largest lead of the game at 24 points when Rowles made a pair of free throws to make it 79-55 with 9:10 remaining in the second. That capped an 8-0 Albright run.
Isaiah Harris put the lead back at 20 points with a layup with 6:22 to play to make it 86-66 before Hood went on a mini-run to cut the lead back to single digits four minutes later. A three pointer from Michael Riley cut the Albright lead to 94-85 with 2:20 left in regulation. Albright responded with six straight points, however, to make the lead more comfortable. Smith,
Jaylin Calloway and Majekodunmi each had two of the six points.
Majekodunmi and Harris each had six rebounds to lead the team. Rappoport had three blocks, and
DeLascio Dancy had eight points to go with three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Albright will look for its second-straight 5-0 start in MAC Commonwealth play when it hosts Lebanon Valley at Bollman Center on Saturday at 2 p.m.
