Shirk Stadium - The Albright Lions will host Misericordia on Saturday for the final home game of the 2018 season. The team will honor its seven seniors prior to kickoff as part of senior day ceremonies.
Albright is coming off a 49-14 loss to #15 Delaware Valley last week on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The Lions scored on their opening drive to go up 7-0 before the Aggies ran off 42 unanswered over three quarters to pull away. Meanwhile, the Cougars continued their renanissance season by defeating King's 41-23 in convincing fashion. The Lions sit at 0-8 overall and 0-6 in MAC play, while the Cougars are deadlocked with Delaware Valley at the top of the MAC standings with a 7-1 overall record and 5-1 record in conference play.
LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP
Albright has won all six meetings between the Cougars since Misericordia debuted in the 2012 season that was capped by a dominant 50-17 win over the Cougars in Dallas last season. The Lions scored the first 29 points of the game in the first half and eventually went up 50-3 in the third quarter. The Lions racked up a season-high 504 offensive yards in the win.

This senior class has currently compiled a 26-16 overall record and was a part of the 2015 MAC Championship team as freshman. The class has also played in the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and back-to-back MAC-Centennial Bowl Series games.
ADDING TO THE NUMBERS
Senior wide receiver
Kyle Dickerson registered his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season against Delaware Valley last Saturday as he hauled in eight passes for 107 yards and added two touchdown receptions.
Dickerson has long reset his career-high for touchdown receptions this season and now ranks third in the MAC with nine. He also ranks fourth in the conference with 733 receiving yards and averages 91.6 receiving yards per game.
GETTING NOTICED
Freshman
Malik Bootman led the Lions with a team-high 63 yards rushing on 14 carries on Saturday against Delaware Valley. Albright. The 63 yards rushing was the most by any Albright player this season. Bootman was coming off scoring his first collegiate touchdown against King's two weeks ago and has moved into second on the team in total rushing yards.
FOR A LOSS
The Lions rank third in the conference in tackles for loss with 55 on the season so far. Albright has four players in the Top-20 in the conference in tackles for loss which ties them with King's and Delaware Valley for most players in that ranking. Senior defensive lineman

Tyler Foster each have 7.5, and sophomore linebacker
Nate Steffen has 7.0 TFL. Sanchez and Foster are tied for the most tackles for loss in a single game for the Lions this season with 3.5 in two separate games.
BLOCK PARTY
Senior defensive lineman
David Sanchez blocked a punt in the second half against Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon. He has now recorded a blocked extra point and punt on the season. Sanchez has recorded four blocked kicks in his career and one in each of the last three seasons for Albright.
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
Sophomore safety
Jaylan Lawson continues to lead the Lions in tackles this season after tying for the team lead in total tackles with nine. Lawson has either led or tied for the team lead in tackles in five of the eight Lions games this season. He also is tied for the team lead with four pass break-ups on the season. Lawson has also become one of the primary kick returners for Albright this season as he leads the team with 621 return yards and a 21.4 average per return.
SHUTTING IT DOWN
The Lions defense made it tough for the Aggies on third down last Saturday as they posted their best effort of the season by limiting them to be just 3-of-11 on conversions Delaware Valley came into the contest ranked third in the MAC for highest third down conversions.
ABOUT MISERICORDIA
Misericordia has defied the odds this season after being ranked 10th in the MAC preseason poll, and is having the best season of the program's young seven year history as they look to claim a share of the MAC Championship. Behind the underdog story is junior quarterback Brady Williams, who has broken out to currently rank second in the MAC in total offense with 2,418 total offensive yards. Williams holds the top quaterback efficiency in the MAC at 1676, while ranking third in the conference with 1,901 passing yards and 16 touchdown passes. He also leads the Cougars with 518 rushing yards and leads the MAC with 13 rushing touchdowns. His favorite target is junior wide receiver Sam Gillison, who currently ranks third in the conference with 777 receiving yards and has caught seven touchdowns.
