WESTMINSTER Md. – The Albright Lions men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss to McDaniel on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
With the loss, the Lions drop to 0-2 on the season overall while the Green Terror will start their season 1-0.
The Green Terror grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the match by virtue of sweeping all three doubles matches. Sophomore

Zach Schulties dropped an 8-4 decision to McDaniel's Luke Shuck and Quinn Burker at the first position. The Green Terros' Tate Myers and Jimmy Wawrzynski recorded an 8-0 victory over Albright sophomore
Brody Brown and freshman
Armando Santana at the No. 2 doubles action. The third doubles set would go to McDaniel as a win by default.
McDaniel completed the match by winning five of the six singles matches. In No. 1 singles action, Shuck topped Okonski by a 6-2, 6-0 count. Santana then scored the lone point for Albright at the No. 2 spot with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Burker. At the No. 3 singles spot, Schulties fell to Wawrzynski by a 6-1, 6-1 score and Millan dropped a 6-1, 6-0 match to Olson in the fourth singles position. Brown was playing McDaniel's Aidan Finnerty in the No. 5 spot and dropped a 6-2, 6-0, while the Green Terror won by default in the No. 6 spot.
The Lions return to action on Friday, Sept. 21 when they will travel to face Penn State Abington at 3:30 p.m. in non-conference action.
