MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Albright Lions volleyball team was dealt a 3-0 loss in straight sets (16-25, 25-27, 17-25) to Penn State Harrisburg in straight-sets on Thursday night in non-conference action.
With the loss, the Lions fall to 5-7 overall after losing their fourth-straight game. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions improve to 9-8 overall.
Sophomore
Bryana Chambers led the Lions with five kills on 11 total attacks and a .455 hitting percentage, while classmate
Kaitlyn Chell matched her with five kills in addition to tallying 12 digs. Freshman
Grace Serafin posted a season-high four kills and added four digs in the loss, and senior
Becca Davis led the defense with 18 digs. Sophomore
Alexa Poss posted her fifth assist/dig double-double of the season with 15 assists and 12 digs.
The Nittany Lions held a 45-21 advantage in kills and a 10-1 advantage in blocks. Penn State Harrisburg also posted a .317 hitting percentage compared to Albright at -.011. Brittany Wolf led the Nittany Lions with 11 kills and Kristin Warig paced the Penn State Harrisburg offense with 36 assists.
Albright will return to action on Saturday, September 29
th when they will participate in the Rutgers-Camden Tri-Match with games against Penn State Abington at 1 p.m., and Rutgers-Camden at 3 p.m.
