GLENSIDE, Pa. – An Arcadia goal in the 74
th minute downed the Albright men's soccer team in conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Jean Lenox West Field.
Sophomores
Yaniv Gonyoe and
Alexander MacDonald had the two Albright shots in the first half. MacDonald's came in the 23
rd minute and hit the post of Arcadia's net. Arcadia notched seven shots in the first half, causing senior goalkeeper
Billy Mullen to make two saves and junior defender
Elijah Bowers added a defensive save in the 41
st minute of the game.
The second half saw three more shots from the Lions, but only one shot on goal from sophomore
Billy Hanratty, which was picked up by Arcadia's Jake Varrato. Mullen registered three more saves in the second half for a total of five on the day .
The game-winning goal for the Knights was netted by senior Shade Foreman and assisted by junior Keegan Bower at 74:29.
Arcadia held a 13-5 edge in shots, 7-1 advantage in shots on goal, and 10-3 ratio in corner kicks.
The Lions will travel to Lycoming College on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a 4 p.m. contest.
