WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Two Albright goals netted by junior
Lauren Haley and sophomore
Diza Hasanaj secured a 2-0 win against the Lycoming Warriors on Wednesday afternoon at the UPMC field.
The win will lift Albright to 9-6 on the season and 3-2 in MAC Commonwealth play.
The scoring plays from Albright came in the 37
th minute of the game and again in the 63
rd. Haley got the Lions on the board first for her sixth goal of the season off an assist from first-year
Emily Serpico. Hasanaj added a goal in the second half after beating her defender and now leads the Lions in goals with seven.
The Lions outshot the Warriors by a margin of 20-7, holding a 12-3 edge in shots on target and 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore
Autumn Bieber and Haley each took five shots to lead Albright. Pacing the Warriors was Bailey Gilmore, Megan Oyler, and Elle Sarracco with two shots apiece.

Olivia Donkus made three stops in net for the Lions, earning a shutout and her eighth win of the season in net. Lycoming's Jess Riorden registered nine saves on the day.
Albright women's soccer will return home to face #1 Messiah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The Lions will also celebrate their senior student-athletes at this time.
