ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright men's basketball team outlasted Lebanon Valley on the road by a score of 75-72 in overtime on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth play.
With the win, the Lions bounce back to improve to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in MAC Commonwealth play. Meanwhile, the Dutchmen fall to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Isaiah Harris posted his second 20+ point game of the week as he poured in 26 points on 12-of-14 shooting, while adding eight rebounds. Classmate
Sidney Brown posted 15 points, three steals, two rebounds, and two assists in the win. Junior
Samuel Majekodunmi added 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while first-year
Robert Mangum tallied nine points off the bench. Junior
Troy Smoot matched his classmate Harris with a team-high eight rebounds.
Lebanon Valley took an early 5-2 lead at the 17:08-mark of the first half before Albright responded with seven-straight points over a span of 3:05 to go up 9-5 at the 13:36-mark. The Dutchmen held the Lions without a point for the next 4:36, and scored 17-straight points to take a 22-9 lead at the 9:14-mark of the first half. Lebanon Valley went 8-of-9 from the field in that span, while forcing five Lion turnovers. Albright struck back with a 13-2 run to pull within two points of the Dutchmen behind hitting four three-pointers. Mangum nailed a fifth-straight three-pointer to put Albright behind two at 27-25 with 6:19 left in the first half, but the Dutchmen responded with seven-straight points to go up 34-25 at the 3:34-mark of the first half. However, the Lions took momentum in the half with a 12-3 run in the final 3:01 to tie the score at 37-all. Albright went 5-of-5 from the field in that stretch with Majekodunmi and Harris combining for all the points.
The second half started slow as the teams each hit just one field goal in the first 4:44. Albright seemed to take control of the game with a 17-4 run to take their largest lead of the game at 56-43 with 9:20 left in the second half. Brown scored 11 of the points in the run behind a trio of three-pointers, while Harris added six points. However, the Dutchmen stormed back to take the lead back with a 17-2 run at 60-58 with four minutes left in regulation. Lebanon Valley went 8-of-9 from the field in that stretch after making just two field goals in the second half prior to that. Smoot snapped a Lions scoreless drought of 4:08 with a jumper to tie the game at 60, and Harris gave the Lions the lead back at 62-60 with a jumper at the 2:56-mark. The Dutchmen tied the game at 62 with 2:33 left in regulation before Harris gave the Lions the lead back with 49 seconds left on a layup. However, Harris failed to convert the bucket into a three-point play with a missed free throw which allowed the Dutchmen to tie it back up on their next possession with 20 seconds left in the second half. A missed three-pointer from Majekodunmi at the buzzer sent the game into overtime.
In overtime, the Lions went up 67-64 at the 3:45-mark behind three points from Harris. Each team hit jumpers to leave the Lions up 69-66 with 2:47 left before the Dutchmen took a one-point at 70-69 at the 1:48-mark. Majekodunmi put Albright back up at 71-70 following a pair of free throws at the 1:29-mark, and Harris extended the lead to 73-70 with a fastbreak layup with 59 seconds left. The Lions missed a pair of free throws on their next possession, but a steal from senior
DeLascio Dancy sent the Lions back to the free throw line. Brown split a pair to make it a 74-70 game before the Dutchmen quickly scored on a jumper to make it 74-72 with 19 seconds left. Majekodunmi split a pair of free throws following a Dutchmen foul with 13 seconds left, and the Lions were able to hold on after a Dutchmen three-pointer went just off the mark in the final four seconds.
The Lions shot 46 percent (29-of-63) from the field, and went 10-of-26 (38%) from beyond the arc. Albright went just 7-of-16 (43.8%) from the free throw line and scored 22 points off 19 Dutchmen turnovers. Meanwhile, the Dutchmen shot exactly the same as the Lions did overall from the field, and went 5-of-13 (38.5%) from beyond the arc. Lebanon Valley went a solid 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the free throw line, and held a slight 40-37 rebounding advantage.
Zach Tucker led the Dutchmen with a team-high 21 points and added three rebounds, while Luis Garcia posted 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field.
Albright will return to action on Saturday, December 14
th as they will host Hood in conference play at 3 p.m.
