READING, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's basketball team (12-13, 7-9 MACC) was unable to overcome 25 turnovers in a 67-47 loss to the Stevenson Mustangs (13-12, 8-8 MACC) in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon at the Bollman Center.
Junior guard
Hailey Dayton paced the Lions with a season-high 11 points, while freshman
Amina Rauf chipped in with 10 points off the bench. Freshman
Dejah Terrell added four points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Albright.
Stevenson had four players finish in double figures led by Hannah Crist's game-high 21 points, while Alexa Sanmartin added 14, Jonyae Curry chipped in with 12 and Kellie Johnson contributed 11 of her own.
A layup from junior
Zaria Mohamed in the early going cut the Stevenson lead to 6-4, but the Mustangs responded with a 13-5 run over the remainder of the quarter and a layup from Brandi Hall in the final minute made it a 19-9 game after one. The Lions cut the lead back to single digits at 20-12 after a
Brady Wassel three with 6:33 to play in the half, but Sanmartin scored 10 of her 14 points over the remainder of the quarter and Stevenson took a 33-17 lead into the locker room.
The lead remained at 16 after Terrell's layup in the early stages of the second half, but the Lions were unable to draw any closer than that the rest of the way. Dayton scored all 11 of her points for Albright in the second half including eight in the fourth quarter. A layup from Rauf cut the lead to 62-45 with 2:31 to play in the contest.
The Lions shot 19-of-61 (31.1%) from the floor, 4-of-22 (18.2%) from deep and 5-of-8 (62.5%) from the free throw line, while Stevenson was 23-of-70 (32.9%) from the field, 9-of-26 (34.6%) from three point range and 12-of-15 (80%).
Albright held a 40-35 edge on the boards led by Terrell's 10 boards and seven apiece from freshmen

Shaunna Bruker.
