READING, Pa. – Albright esports' Hearthstone team made its program debut on Tuesday night as they faced the University of Buffalo and George Mason. The Lions were defeated in both matches, falling 3-2 to Buffalo before dropping a 3-1 contest to George Mason.
The team of
Brody Brown,
Sean Dugan, and
Gerard Ford faced Buffalo and battled the Buffalo squad by trading game before the Bulls pulled out the match in the end. The trio of
Francesca Horner,
Kenny Orrego, and
Roy Hughes were unable to overcome a strong start from the Patriots as they fell 3-1.
The Hearthstone team became the second Albright eSports team to debut this season after the League of Legends team debuted in late January, and have competed in five matches thus far.
Albright's opponents for their next matches will be determined in the upcoming days.
