Billy Mullen registered 15 saves on Wednesday evening at Shirk Stadium, however, Mount Aloysius ended the winning streak for the Albright men's soccer team, falling 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Lions will drop to 4-5, while the visitors will improve to 5-4 on the season.
The sole score of the game came from junior Luis Miravitlles who got the Mounties on the board in the first half, after netting a corner kick from classmate James Maddison in the 33
rd minute.
Mount Aloysius held a 23-9 advantage in shots and 16-4 edge in shots on goal. Lions
Wynton Britton and
Billy Hanratty both tallied three shots and one shot on goal. Senior Joshua Devlin paced the Mounties with seven shots, four of them being on target.
Mullen made 15 saves, tying his season record, and faced 23 shots from the Mounties. Mounties' goalkeeper James Eyre had four saved to earn the win and a shutout.
The Lions look to bounce back on Saturday, Sept. 28 as they travel to Gwynedd Mercy for an 11 a.m. matchup.
