Women's Soccer Ties With Penn State Harrisburg, 0-0

READING, Pa. – After 110 minutes of play, the Albright women's soccer team's contest against Penn State Harrisburg ended in a scoreless draw.
 
The Lions overall record now stands at 2-2-2, while the Nittany Lions overall record stands at 1-1-3.
 
Albright controlled the pace in the first half with a 7-1 shot advantage over Penn State Harrisburg. Senior Autumn Bieber fired off the first shot on goal in the first two minutes of the game, to which Nittany Lions goalkeeper Delaney Shifflett saved. Neither team found the back of the net in the first half as the game remained scoreless entering the second stanza.
 
Albright first-year goalkeeper McKenna LeVan tallied her first save of the game in the 57th minute to keep the Penn State Harrisburg off the board. The Lions best chance at taking the lead was in the 71st minute, when senior Diza Hasanaj had the opportunity with a penalty kick, but Shifflett made a crucial save that kept the game scoreless and sent the contest into overtime.
 
LeVan made a big save in the final seconds of the first overtime off a long shot from outside the box to send the game into a second overtime session. Both defenses locked it down on the pitch as neither team got a shot off in the second overtime session to conclude the contest with a scoreless draw.
 
Albright held a 14-6 shot advantage over Penn State Harrisburg and connected five on goal. First-year goalkeeper McKenna LeVan completed three saves for the Lions in 110 minutes of play, while senior goalkeeper Delaney Shifflett made five saves for the Nittany Lions in the full amount of action. This marked LeVan's third straight shutout.
 
The Lions will travel to FDU-Florham for MAC crossover action Wednesday at 4 p.m.
