Reading, PA - The Albright Lions fell to Lebanon Valley on Saturday night by a score of 3-1. The Lions fall to 1-7-3 on the season, and 0-1 in conference play. LVC improves to 2-3-3 and 1-0.
A scoreless first half saw the Flying Dutchmen out shoot the Lions 9-1. Each team had two corner kicks in the first half.
The scoring started early in the second half, when
Alexis Baez found the back of the net off of a pass from
Journee Haynes in the 48th minute. That 1-0 lead would last until the 64th minute when Kyra Rishell evened things up for LVC. The Dutchmen would grab the lead in the 73rd minute when Alyssa Peiffer scored. SHe would add another goal in the 84th minute to put the game away.
LVC outshot the Lions by a 19-3 margin, and had five corners compared to Albright's three.
The Lions three shots on goal came from Baez,
Lindsey Williamson, and
Kelly Griffin. Starting goalie McKenna Levan made eight saves, while
Alexis Solt came in with about 10 minutes left, and made one save.
Up Next - The Lions will next play York on Tuesday, October 4th at Shirk Stadium. That game will start at 7pm.
