READING, Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (2-10-2, 0-5 MAC Commonwealth) dropped a home match against Widener University (8-4-2, 4-0-1 MAC Commonwealth) on Wednesday night. Widener won the game by a final score of 2-0.

Neither team was able to crack the opposing teams defense in the first 45 minutes of play. The two sides looked to gain possession in the midfield and then find the decisive through ball into the attacking third. 

John Villano had a look in the 27th minute to get Albright on the board. Villano fired a shot to the lower right side of the cage that was turned away by Widener's goalie. 

Sean Fatiga broke the scoreless draw in the 46th minute of the game. For Fatiga it was his 8th goal of the year. 

The Pride extended their lead midway through the second half in what proved to be the games final tally. 

Villano recorded two shots for Albright to lead the Lions. Noah Raimonde and Luke Fanning also produced a shot each during tonight's game.

Albright will travel to Messiah University this Saturday, October 22 in a MAC Commonwealth battle. First kick is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
