ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (2-12-2, 0-7 MAC Commonwealth) dropped their match against Eastern University (6-8-3, 3-3-2 MAC Commonwealth) on Tuesday afternoon. The game marked the last road game of the 2022 campaign for the Lions.

The opening 40 minutes of play saw multiple shots by both teams but neither side was able to find the back of the net. 

Albright had an opportunity to open the scoring in the 15th minute off a shot from Myles Mitchell but it was turned away by the Eagle keeper.  

Just after the 40 minute mark the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the game. Derek Buhrman scored his fourth goal of the year to give Eastern the halftime advantage.  

Eastern would double their lead in the second half courtesy of Evan Copes 12th goal of the season. Eastern was able to hold down the Lions on defense to win the game 2-0.

Martin Ramsay and Luigi Costigliola tried to spark the Lion attack, each recording two shots. Overall Albright recorded nine shots in total with three of them on goal. 

Cooper Walters got the start in net for Albright and tallied five saves.

Albright will return home for their last game of the 2022 season on Saturday, October 29. The game against Hood College on Saturday will also serve as Albright's Senior Day. Senior day festivities will begin pregame and kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
