LANCASTER, Pa. - The Albright men's basketball team (4-4, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) was in action on Tuesday night and earned a convincing non-conference win over Lancaster Bible College (3-3) by a final score of 88-72.
The Lions started fast and never looked back. Albright found themselves up by 10 just six minutes into the game. Tenacious defense forced LBC into a plethora of turnovers which resulted in plenty of easy buckets for Albright.
The Lions held Lancaster Bible College to under double digit points through the first 13 minutes of the opening 20 minutes in the game and by that time Albright's lead had grown to 24 points.
By halftime Albright was in complete control of the game leading by 31 points. The 53-22 margin is the largest for the Lions at any stage of a game this season.
Albright was able to use their huge first half to their advantage giving LBC little hope of attempting a comeback.
The Lions stifled any comeback attempt that LBC put forth, never allowing the Chargers to get within striking distance of the Lions.
From start to finish Albright set the tone and earned a huge non conference bounce back win 88-72 on Tuesday night.
For the game Albright forced LBC into 27 turnovers. The Lions scored 34 fast break points and had 32 points off turnovers. All the previously mentioned statistical numbers in the last sentence(s) represent a season high for Albright.
