OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Albright women's basketball team suffered a 76-60 loss at Stevenson on Saturday as they wrapped up MAC Commonwealth regular season action.
With the loss, the Lions will enter the postseason 7-9 in conference and 12-10 overall to clinch the fifth seed in the championship tournament. Meanwhile, the Mustangs clinch the fourth seed in the MAC Commonwealth tournament and improve to 8-8 in conference and 11-12 overall.

Gabby Boggs led Albright with 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting, five rebounds, and four blocks. Senior
Kayana Chisholm added 11 points off the bench on 2-for-9 shooting from the floor and 7-for-10 from the charity stripe. Senior
Amina Rauf notched nine points behind 3-for-17 shooting, six rebounds, and three assists. Senior
Brady Wassel grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and added five points and two assists.
The opening frame was a back-and-forth battle as the teams got off to an even 6-6 run. The Mustangs pulled ahead with a basket, but senior
Emma Blewett answered with a three-pointer sparked a 9-4 run for Albright capped by a bucket from senior
Abby Gaffney to give Albright a 15-12 lead at the 4:18-mark. Stevenson responded with a 10-2 run to put them in front 22-17 with just over a minute remaining in the first. The Lions closed out the quarter with five unanswered points to tie the game up at 22. The Mustangs opened up the second stanza with an 10-5 advantage to take a 32-27 lead. Mackenzie Dover put the Lions back in front 33-32 at the 4:56-mark. The Mustangs closed out the half with a 6-3 advantage to hold a 38-36 lead at the break.
Stevenson's strongest performance came in the third quarter when they held Albright to just 2-for-10 shooting from the field. The Mustangs came out of the half with a big 20-3 run to take a comfortable 58-39 lead at the 2:50-mark. Boggs finally snapped the run with a layup followed by a pair of free throws from Dover. Stevenson knocked down a three to keep their momentum and Boggs closed the quarter with a trip to the free throw line to bring the score to 61-45 at the end of the third. Albright notched six-straight points to open up the final stanza and cut their deficit to just ten at the 8:35-mark. The Mustangs hit a jumper to slow down the Lions, but a pair of free throws and a basket from Boggs cut Albright's deficit to 63-55 at the 4:24-mark. However, Stevenson knocked down three-straight shots from beyond the arc to take a 17-point lead and shut down the Lions chance of coming back. Albright closed out the game with a 5-4 advantage but Stevenson claimed the 76-60 victory when the final buzzer went off.
Albright shot 19-for-58 (32.8%) from the floor, 3-for-18 (16.7%) from beyond the arc, and 19-of-25 (76.0%) from the charity stripe. The Lions saw 18 points off the bench and notched 28 points in the paint. Meanwhile, Stevenson shot 29-for-62 (46.8%) from the field, 11-for-20 (55.0%) from three-point range, and 7-for-9 (77.8%) from the free throw line. The Mustangs held a slight 39-35 rebound advantage and saw 26 points off the bench.
The Lions will have one final matchup against the Mustangs, however, as they will travel back to the No. 4 seeded Stevenson on Wednesday for the quarterfinal round of the MAC Commonwealth tournament.
