FREDERICK, Ma. – The Albright men's lacrosse team dropped their season finale 16-9 in MAC Commonwealth action at Hood on Saturday.
With the loss, the Lions conclude the season 1-7 in conference and 5-11 overall. Meanwhile, the Blazers conclude their season also 2-6 in conference and 7-10 overall.

Alex McKendry led Albright's offense with five points on four goals and one assist. Classmate
Jacob Cunningham followed with four points on two goals and two assists and five ground balls.
It was a defensive battle to open up the game but Hood finally notched the opening goal at the 8:15-mark. Cunningham got the Lions on the board at the 3:05-mark behind an assist from sophomore
Tyler Richards on a man-up opportunity to tie the game at one entering the second stanza. Hood found their footing in the second quarter as they notched eight unanswered goals to grasp a commanding 9-1 lead at the break.
Hood capped off their run with the opening goal of the second half to take a nine-goal lead. Albright finally snapped the run at the 12:21-mark of the third with an unassisted score from McKendry. The teams traded goals before the Lions tallied back-to-back scores from McKendry and first-year
Jack Burke to cut their deficit to 11-4 at the 9:16-mark. The Blazers responded with three-straight to take a ten-goal advantage. Cunningham capped off the third with an unassisted goal at the 2:09-mark, bringing the score to 14-5.
The Blazers opened up the final stanza with back-to-back scores to take their largest lead at 11. The Lions battled back in the final ten minutes of action as they posted four unanswered goals to get within seven, however, their late efforts were not enough as Hood claimed the 16-9 MAC Commonwealth win.
Hood held a sizable 61-35 shot advantage and a 55-33 ground ball advantage over Albright. The Blazers also dominated at the faceoff winning 22-7. First-year goalkeeper
Ethan Hendershot receives the loss for Albright despite completing 16 saves in the full amount of action. Alex Dudziak earns the win for Hood with 13 saves in 51:50 minutes of action.
