Reading, PA - The Albright Lions Men's Tennis team won their first match of the season by a score of 7-2. They won both doubles matches, and split the four singles matches.
The day started with the doubles matches, which saw
Arpit Gainder and
Clay Lewandowski defeat Luke DeAngelis and Julian Pinder by a score of 8-2. The other doubles match saw
Dylan Huha and
Gavin Buckley defeat Ghuman Walidad and Aggam Khurana by a score of 8-4. With those two victories, the Lions had already clinched the victory, but the singles matche swere still played.
Arpit Gainder defeated Julian Pinder in a quick 6-1, 6-2 match. On the adjacent court,
Kobe Serpa fell to Aggam Khurana 3-6, 1-6. FIrst Year
Dylan Huha wom his first collegiate singles match, defeating Walidad Ghuman 6-3, 6-2.
The match of the day was played between
Clay Lewandowski and Luke DeAngelis. After losing the first set 3-6, Lewandowski fought back and won the second set 7-5, to send the match to a third set tiebreaker. The tiebreaer went back and forth, and was tied up at nine a piece when DeAngelis would win the final to points to win the tiebreaker 11-9.
This match was also the first tennis match to be broadcast in the school's history. You can catch a replay
