Women's Soccer Drops Game to Delaware Valley

Doylestown, PA - The Albright Lions fell to the Delaware Valley Aggies Tuesday night by a score of 2-0. The loss drops the lions to 1-6-3 on the season, while the Aggies move to 5-3-1.

The Aggies got out to a lead in the 14th minute on a Jess Williamson goal. The Aggies outshot the Lions 9-6 in the first half, while the Lions held the 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. The score would remain 1-0 going into halftime.

The Lions were the more aggresive team in the second half, outshooting the Aggies 7-3. But ultimately that aggressiveness would cost them, as Williamson was able to net her second goal of the night in the 64th minute.

Albright held the overall shot advantage in the game 13-12, as well as the corner kicks advantage 8-3.

Maggie Williams had four shots for the Lions, all of which were on goal. Jada Britton, Emily Serpico, Lindsey Williamson, and Mackenzie SOwers all each had one shot on goal.

Lions' goalie McKenna Levan had five saves in the game.

Up Next - The Lions will next play on Saturday, October 1st against Lebanon Valley in their conference opener. That game will take place at Shirk Field, and is scheduled to start at 5pm.
