Reading, PA - The Albright Women's Tennis team fell to the Misericordia Cougars by a score of 9-0 on Friday afternoon. The loss was the first of the season for the Lions, as they fall to 3-1 on the season. The Cougars improved to 3-0 on the season.

In doubles the match results were as followed:

Alex Pancu and Michelle Timothy - 5-8
Macie Littleton and Jacqualine Manikas - 0-8
Alizabeth Zarnofsky and Marisa Cocca - 4-8

In singles the Lions fell in straight sets in each match, with the exception of Michelle Timothy. After losing the first set 1-6, she battled back to win the second set 7-5. In a back and forth third set tiebreaker, she fell 8-10. The remaining singles matches resulted in the following scores:

Alex Pancu - 2-6, 0-6
Jacqualine Manikas - 0-6, 0-6
Alizabeth Zarnofsky - 0-6, 1-6
Macie Littleton - 1-6, 1-6
Lauren China - 5-7, 3-6

Up Next - The Lions will finish their fall season with a match against Lycoming College at the Albright Tennis Courts on Saturday, October 8th. That will start at 12pm.
