READING, Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (8-3-3, 0-2-1 MAC Commonwealth) played host to the Stevenson Mustangs (2-8-4, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon in an Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth clash. The Mustangs bested the Lions in today's game taking the match 3-0.
Stevenson tallied three first half goals giving themselves an 3-0 advantage at halftime.
In the first half the Lions earned three corner kicks looking to get on the board.
John Villano and
Eliecer Aguirre each recorded two first half shots on goal to pace the Lions attack.
In the second half, Albright had a chance to get one back in the 63rd minute. Villano made a streaking run into the box and saw his shot sail just over the top of the bar.
The Mustangs were able to maintain their 3-0 lead for the remaining time on the second half clock, closing out the Lions.
Villano paced the Albright attack tallying two shots in today's game.
Vincent Simmons,
Erick Tacuri and Aguiree all tallied one shot for the Lions.
Goalkeeper
Cooper Walters came on at halftime and made two saves, stopping each Mustang shot he faced.

The Albright men's soccer team will remain on their home turf hosting Alvernia University on Wednesday, October 18. The MAC Commonwealth clash is set for a 7 p.m. start.
