READING, Pa. - The Albright women's soccer team (4-10-2, 0-4-1 MAC Commonwealth) was in action on Saturday (Oct. 21) afternoon against the Widener University Pride (5-6-4, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth). The Lions fell to the hosts in Widener by a final score of 1-0.
The game went scoreless for 86 minutes of the contest. Each team looked to walk away with a point in the MAC standings but Widener found a late goal from Maggie Boyes to send the Pride home with a victory in the 87th minute.
McKenna LeVan was once again overly impressive in goal for the Lions. LeVan made seven saves in today's game facing a tough Widner offensive unit. Today's game is the fifth this season where LeVan had made at least seven saves in a game.
Alyssa DeVita paced the Alright offense tallying three shots and placing one of which on goal.
