WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Albright women's tennis team concluded their fall season in style on Sunday afternoon picking up a dominating 9-0 win over McDaniel (1-5). Todays match was originally schedule for September 9 but was postponed to today (Oct. 8) due to inclement weather.
In singles play this afternoon,
Alex Pancu and
Alaina Smith both won their matches without dropping a game winning 6-0, 6-0. For Pancu and Smith it is there second singles win of the week in two matches played.
In number two singles,
Elicia Aponte won her match handily 6-0, 6-1 only dropping a game in the process.
Valeria Sanchez was featured in number three singles play and controlled the match winning 6-2, 6-1.
Megan Colaneri wrapped up singles play for the Lions winning her match 6-4, 6-0.
Pancu, Aponte,
Michelle Timothy and
Alizabeth Zarnofsky were in action during doubles play and each shut out their opponent 8-0.
Saba Soroush and
Isabella Tice rounded out the day for Albright in the third and final doubles match, winning the match 8-2.
