CHESTER, PA. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (3-10, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road this evening to Widener (6-6, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) for a MAC Commonwealth matchup. The Pride came out on top winning tonight's game 25-7.
Widener jumped on the Lions scoring the game's first seven goals. Jay Shifflet stopped the Widener run to start the game with a man-up goal assisted by James Elko.
The Pride carried a 13-2 lead into halftime. Jack Burke tallied a goal in the second period for Albright, his 39th of the season at the time.
Widener started to pull away from Albright in the third period carrying a 20-4 lead into the fourth period and ultimately winning the game over the Lions.
Jack Burke led the way tonight for Albright scoring a team high four goals. With tonight's four goal performance, Burke has surpassed his season goal total from a year ago (37) with four games remaining.
Also recording a goal tonight for the Lions was Elko, Lucas Roselli and Shifflet who also recorded an assist.
