ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright College Lions men's golf team is set to compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Golf Championships beginning on Friday, April 21 and concluding on Sunday, April 23. Friday, April 21 will serve as a practice round for all participants while Saturday and Sunday will serve as rounds one and two, respectively, for the 2023 Championships.

Prior to the start of the championships the MAC released a Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll and Albright was picked to finish sixth. York College (Pa.) was tabbed as the favorite heading into the weekend receiving three first place votes. Easten, Stevenson and Alvernia round out the top five of the Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll.

Albright will play the practice round as well as the two day championships at the P.B. Dye Golf Course in Ijamsville, MD. The historic course opened in 1999 and sits on 250 acres of rolling hills and woodlands. Live scoring will be available during the MAC Championships and you can follow along by clicking here.
The Lions will enter the MAC Championships with momentum on their side coming off a 324-397 victory over Widener on Monday afternoon.
During the spring season, the Lions as a team placed 2nd at the Muhlenberg Invitational and 6th at the Alvernia Invitational and Elizabethtown Invitational. During day one of the Alvernia Invitational the Lions fired their lowest round as a team of the spring season shooting a 304. During the round, Sam Elsen, Evan Twyman, Ben Egin and Colby Gaylor all shot rounds in the 70's.
