Women’s Tennis Hosts Messiah in Season Finale; Honors Senior on Senior Day

The Albright women’s tennis team concluded the 2022-23 season this afternoon against Messiah and honored graduating senior Megan Misurelli prior to today's match.

READING, PA. - The Albright College women's tennis team (5-6, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth Spring Season) hosted Messiah (7-7, 4-3 MAC Commonwealth)  this afternoon in the 2022-23 season finale. The Falcons won the match over the Lions 6-3.

Prior to today's match, Megan Misurelli was honored for her hard work and dedication throughout the years to the Albright women's tennis program.

Alex Pancu won again this afternoon to complete the spring season at a perfect 12-0. Pancu has established herself as one of the best players in all of the Middle Atlantic Conference. Pancu, who is only a sophomore, won easily this afternoon 6-0, 6-1 to complete the spring season without a blemish on her record.

Michelle wraps up her impressive spring season winning her singles #2 match this afternoon. Timothy dominated the first set 6-2 and carried that momentum into the second set winning the second set 6-4 to take the match in straight sets.

The combination of Pancu and Timothy is about as good as you can get. The duo won their final doubles match of the season in convincing fashion leaving little doubt of who was the better side. Pancu and Timothy bested the competition 8-2.
