ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright College Lions women's golf team is set to compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships beginning on Friday, April 28 and concluding on Sunday, April 30. Friday, April 28 will serve as a practice round for all participants while Saturday and Sunday will serve as rounds one and two, respectively, for the 2023 Championships.

The 2023 version of the women's MAC Golf Championships will be played at the Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. Rounds one and two are set to begin at 10 a.m.

Prior to the start of the championships the MAC released a Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll and Albright was picked to finish in a tie for 9th. York College (Pa.) was tabbed as the favorite heading into the weekend receiving seven first place votes. Alvernia, Arcadia and Stevenson round out the top five of the Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll.

Albright will play the practice round as well as the two day championships at the Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. Live scoring will be available for the event and can be accessed using the link above.

The Lions will enter the MAC Championships with familiarity on their side playing a course that the women's golf team has fared well on. Last week, the trio of Madison Wagner, Callie Cooper and Braidan Wastler all shot within five strokes of each other at Golden Oaks. In all this season, the women's golf team has competed at Golden Oaks four times this season throughout the fall and the spring seasons.

At the 2022 MAC Championships a season ago, which were also played at the Golden Oaks Golf Club, Wagner led the way for Albright finishing in a tie for 25th. Wagner will look to improve on her strong performance from a season ago at the same.
