COLLEGEVILLE, PA. – The Albright field hockey team (2-3) continued their long road trip on Saturday morning against non-conference foe, Ursinus (3-2). Today's game was the third of the six-game road trip for the Lions. Ursinus got the better of Albright this morning taking the game 6-0.
The Lions and Bears have matched up twice over the past two seasons and have split the matchups through the two meetings.
Ursinus jumped on the Lions early scoring three goals in the first period. The three-goal lead for the Bears would hold until halftime.
Albright had a chance to tie the game at 1-1 off a penalty corner in the first period.
Olivia Lorah fired a shot that was turned away by the Ursinus goalkeeper and the ball eventually fell to
Laurel Gingrich who had her shot attempt blocked by the Bears defense.
The Bears scored three more times in the third period to put the game away and ultimately protect home field with a victory.
Chelsea Johnson and Lorah led the offense both firing two shots in the game.
Jessica Butz and Gingrich were each credited with one shot in the game.

The Lions will return to action on the road against Susquehanna University on Wednesday, September 30. The game is set for a 4:30 p.m. start time.
