Glenside, Pa. – Volleyball (13-4, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) ended their two-game road trip against the Arcadia Knights (9-12, 1-2 MAC Freedom). With each of the three sets coming down to the wire, the Lions kept their cool and went on to sweep the Knights 3-0.
Neve Straff recorded a team high 11 kills as part of her 14-point performance. The sophomore has now recorded double digit kills in two of the team's last three matches.
Joining Staff in double digit kills and points was
Sophie Hampton who recorded 10 kills in a 12-point effort to go along with a service ace and 15 digs.
The three sets were decided by a combined nine points meaning there was little margin of error for the Lions to work with.
The biggest advantage for the Lions was their ability to generate 14 blocks compared to the four from the Knights.
Rachel Etim recorded a team high four assisted blocks to go along with five kills.
Paola Mejias inches closer to the 500 assist mark for the season with a 31 assist effort to go along with eight digs and six points.
