READING, Pa. – Men's soccer (7-5, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) made the short trip across town facing off against Alvernia (6-5-3, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday night. Tonight's game marked the second MAC Commonwealth of the match for both teams with Alvernia coming away with the 4-0 win.
Men's soccer only has one non-conference match left in the season playing in their second MAC Commonwealth match of the season tonight.
Alvernia started fast scoring three goals in the first half. Two of the Alvernia goals came within five minutes of each other to begin to pull away from the Lions.
Martin Ramsay fired a team high four shots placing two of them on goal as the junior Lion looked to spark the Albright offense.
John Villano recorded two shots of his own while
Gael Velazquez tallied one shot.
Samuel Byrnes-Amaya made his first appearance in goal tonight for the Lions in relief. Byrnes-Amaya recorded his first two collegiate saves in the process.
