OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Women's soccer (2-9-2, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) played in their fourth straight away game on the road at Stevenson (4-6-4, 2-0-1 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs scored the game winning goal in the 82
nd minute escaping with a 1-0 victory.
Today marked the fourth straight road game for the Lions last playing at home on October 5. On Wednesday of this past week, Albright shutout Gywneed Mercy 2-0 on goals from
Gianna Glembocki and
Mackenzie Sowers and five saves from
Alexis Solt.
Albright and Stevenson were tied 0-0 for the majority of today's game. With less than 10 minutes to go in regulation, the Mustangs scored with eight minutes left to take a 1-0 lead which proved to be the difference in the contest.
Despite the loss,
McKenna LeVan made seven saves in goal keeping the Lions in the game for the majority of the match. In three conference games this season, LeVan has registered at least six saves in each one. The senior goalkeeper has recorded 79 saves to date this season.
Audrey Solt and
Alfa Oriheula tallied one shot each placing both of their shots on goal looking to crack the Mustang defense.
Alyssa DeVita and Sowers rounded out the Lions shots with one apiece.
