READING, Pa. – Field Hockey (5-13, 1-5 MAC Commonwealth) hosted the Stevenson Mustangs (14-3-1, 5-1 MAC Commonwealth) for the first of their final two regular season games. In a heavily contested defensive battle, the visiting Mustangs would sneak out with a 1-0 win.
Amanda Smith and
Olivia Lorah served as the focal point for the Lions' offensive effort throughout the game and each registered shots in the back-and-forth defensive showdown.
Each team would remain scoreless through the first three quarters before the Mustangs broke through in the 47
th minute of play off an unlucky bounce.
Kelsey McTaggart made eight saves in net and continues to impress in her first collegiate season with a 2.19 GA/AVG over 17 games in net.
