Callahan and Chamberlain Combine for 47 in Win Against Immaculata

The Lions turned in one of their best shooting performances of the season to win their third straight game.

READING, Pa. – The Albright Men's Basketball team (5-3) played their final game before the Double Tree Holiday Tournament against Immaculata (3-6) on Saturday afternoon. The Lions came out firing on all cylinders with a 49-point first half in what would go on to be a comfortable 85-66 win. 
 
Joey Callahan had a career day scoring a career high 24 points which included converting on seven of eight three-point shots. Callahan's seven threes were two shy of tying the program record. Callahan also cemented himself in the record books as the second best shooting percentage from the behind the arc in school history. 
 
Also at the top of the stat sheet was Eric Chamberlain who scored 23 of his own along with seven assists and a game high six steals. The senior is averaging a career best 17.8 points through eight games. 

Chamberlain is closing in on 1000 career points standing at 990. The senior guard is also inching closer to the all time steals record of 200. Chamberlain has 193 steals to date and will look to achieve both individual accolades at the annual Double Tree Holiday Tournament. 
 
Phanique Dupree dominated on the defensive end with 12 rebounds and six assists, both game highs, and recorded 14 points to end the night with a double-double. 
 
Dylin Borden dished out a season and career high eight assists and recorded three steals in a strong two-way performance. 
 
The Lions followed up their near 50-point first half with another 36 in the final 20 minutes to pick up their fifth win of the season.

The Lions will open the Double Tree Holiday Tournament against Alfred University on Sunday (12/29) at 2:00 pm with the consolation and finals games being played the following day (12/30).
